Dr. Alfred received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in Nutrition then he obtained his medical degree from Georgetown University. He completed his residency in General Surgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO, and received additional fellowship training in Laparoscopic/MIS surgery from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He has 32 years of working experience in his respective field.

Dr. Alfred believes in advising patients the same way he would advise a member of his own family and he also places a significant emphasis on what he can learn by simply listening to the patient. He knows that all patients are deserving of high-quality care and it’s his responsibility to be as empathetic as possible and use his breadth of experience to treat their conditions successfully.

My specific area of expertise is in the initial surgical management of GERD and in the surgical management of patients who have failed a previous anti-reflux procedure.
